About MUDs 4 Texas

MUDs 4 Texas is a plain-language education hub about Municipal Utility Districts in Texas. This page explains our purpose, boundaries, and how we point to official sources.

Our mission

MUDs 4 Texas exists to make Municipal Utility Districts easier to understand. We focus on clarity and informed participation: helping homeowners and home buyers read notices, follow district decisions, and use official tools with confidence. We are an education resource, not a real estate brokerage, tax firm, or law practice.

What we are (and are not)

How we cite sources

We prefer primary official sources (.gov / .edu) and name them with URLs. Typical references include the TCEQ Water Districts Map Viewer, TREC Notice to Purchaser materials (including Form 59-0), TAMU Texas Real Estate Research Center education articles, and county tax / appraisal public tools. We do not invent statutes, form numbers, tax rates, or district names. When a detail is parcel-specific, we teach lookup habits instead of publishing a promise.

Disclaimer
